A Week That Changes the Whole Application Process
Every Smart College Selection student participates in our signature College Application Workshop the summer before senior year. It’s one of the most distinctive things we do — and one of the things families tell us they’re most grateful for by the time October arrives.
Our week-long College Application Workshop is dedicated to helping students make progress on strategy, essays, and applications so they are prepared to start applying to colleges when senior year begins.
Five focused days. A small group of students who are all in the same moment.
Students work both in the group and one-on-one with Smart consultants — bringing the full breadth of the team’s experience into the room.
The workshop was inspired by Google design sprints, research on how this generation learns, and the best of instructional design strategy. There’s an energy that’s hard to describe until you’ve seen it. Fear changes to action. Confusion to confidence.
By the time school starts, the hardest work is done. Senior year is easier for Smart families.

Workshop Availability
Each summer, we conduct workshops in June and July in the Indianapolis and Detroit areas and virtually. Almost all slots are reserved for existing Comprehensive College Consulting students.
On May 1 each year, we open any remaining slots to students who are not otherwise working with us. If you’re interested, join the workshop waitlist and we will notify you when we are opening registration.
